DIANNE HANSBERRY

Dianne discovered her interest in drawing as a young Primary School teacher. She enjoyed creating chalkboard illustrations of famous children’s stories such as Blinky Bill and The Magic Faraway Tree.

Later in life she joined a Folk Art group where she painted on craftwood, in a stylized fashion.

However, she found this wasn’t satisfying her need to create a more realistic image, so she joined the Ringwood Art Society and was thrilled to sell some of her oil paintings.

In 2004 she joined the Waverley Art Society where she was tutored by the then Patron, Carol Boothman

She sold successfully in the society’s exhibitions. Also she exhibited and sold at the Highway Gallery, Mt Waverley.
In 2010, Dianne and her family moved to the Mornington Peninsula and so she joined the Peninsula Art Society. She has enjoyed attending classes, demonstrations and workshops given by Bill Caldwell, Angelo Russo, Glen Hoyle, Marilyn Townsend and Richard Campbell, to name a few.

Dianne enjoys painting seascapes, landscapes and portraits in oils. She has also worked in Acrylics and Mixed Media.
Dianne continues to explore new avenues in her artistic endeavours.
