2019 Spring Art Show a Winner

Officially opened by Peta Murphy, Federal Member for Dunkley, our opening night, par excellence, was a great start to a highly successful weekend.

Features were a high standard of work, displayed to its best, a joyous, happy atmosphere, steady numbers of visitors all weekend, top hospitality from the Red Cross and a magical textile display to showcase beautifully handcrafted work. Visit the art show photo gallery to see for yourself …

All this combined to make our art show the place to be over Cup weekend. High sales in excess of 13% were the icing on the cake.

The Judge, Paul McDonald Smith OAM commended the art society on its facilities. Paul was particularly impressed with the audiovisual display that ran throughout the weekend, showcasing our art awards and sponsors.

A big thank you to the members who volunteered to ensure that this event was such a resounding success. Thanks also to all those members who exhibited their artwork.

Peninsula Arts stands proud of its achievement.

Textile art

Vibrant colours, earthy colours, a medley of textures … our clever textile artists treated visitors to a stunning display of their work throughout the show.

Art demos

Several of our members, all accomplished artists, generously gave of their time to demonstrate their drawing and painting skills over the weekend. No doubt many visitors went home inspired.
