Workshops 2020

GOOD NEWS! We are delighted to announce that with the easing of COVID restrictions, the Peninsula Arts workshop program will re-commence in January, with appropriate social distancing and other safety precautions in place.

Please read our COVID Safe Plan prior to entering the Peninsula Arts premises.

Time to get those creative juices flowing again with some inspiring input from these excellent tutors! Book early as COVID restrictions limit the numbers we can accommodate in each workshop.

Watercolour & Ink

TUTOR: MAXINE WADE
Thursday 28th January 2021.
10am – 4 pm

In this workshop you’ll explore the 2 water soluble mediums: watercolour and Quink ink.

Painting by Maxine Wade - Ink & WatercolourMaxine will demonstrate techniques for using both media to create images of landscape, animals and buildings.

If you have never used black Quink ink before you will be amazed what fantastic effects you can achieve! Not being waterproof, this ink, when wet with a brush, sprayed or put onto damp paper, can change into lovely shades of grey, yellow, green and orange. When you get the timing right, it can even give shades of blue for skies and shadows. Pure magic!

This workshop is an ideal introduction to water-based media and a great way to hone the type of ink and wash drawing skills that are well suited to urban or travel sketching.

Maxine will have available copies of her recently published book “Watercolour Warfare” for sale at the specially reduced workshop price of $40.00. You can also purchase her “Quintessential Guide to Using Quink Ink” at $15.00 per copy; an opportunity to take home instructions on paper! Cash sales only please.

Cost: $70 members $80 non-members

Due to COVID restrictions this workshop is limited to 12 people so book quickly!
