Monochromatic landscapes by Catherine Hamilton

This course brings together some of the innovative techniques and ideas used by Turner, including creating ephemeral atmospheric effects and shimmering light. The first two weeks will be experimental, the first week being a tonal monochromatic study including some fun with textures. In the second week we will move on to a colour image. During the third and fourth weeks you will bring these elements together to create a more complex subject based on what you have learnt.
