Follow along step by step with the tutor in this exciting watercolour class. We will explore elements of drawing, composition, colour mixing, learning the ratio of paint to water, observation of nature and how to use your brushes to maximise effect on the paper. Each week you will create a different painting, drawing on lessons learned from week to week, and your experience and confidence will grow as you enjoy the company of a group of like-minded, fun people.

We will explore the sorts of marks possible with different tools and techniques. Colour study, design aesthetics, and ways to create effects will also be investigated. Have fun at this relaxed class exploring and improving your drawing techniques. An exciting and fun course, embracing a mix of beautiful mediums and adding some innovative ways to use them. This is a workshop for all levels of artist. Charcoal, graphite or pencil drawings can be enhanced with other mediums such as black and white ink, liquid charcoal, conte sticks, natural pigments and more. Include collage, texture printing and various mark making and draw your favourite subject whethrlandscapes, seascapes, still life, abstract or even figurative and portrait. Catherine Hamilton is an accomplished award-winning artist. She works in, and has extensive knowledge of, several different mediums. One of her favourites is drawing. She pushes boundaries, creating innovative ideas with the mediums and building up various layers to create the subject.
