In his demo Greg Allen demonstrated his mastery of watercolour painting while providing us with some excellent insights into the fundamentals of painting in this somewhat unpredictable medium. Greg will be running a 2 day workshop on 10 & 17 November.
Glenda Pitt treated us to a lovely life drawing exhibition during August and kindly donated the proceeds to Fusion, an organisation that supports people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Susan O’Brien entertained us with a demonstration of negative painting in acrylic … even she was not sure what would unfold …
Ben Winspear entertained us with a very skillful demonstration of alla prima oil painting using one of his plein air paintings of a Flinders Ranges landscape as his reference. Ben is running a workshop on Landscape Composition on Sun 13 October.
Our July foyer exhibition featured a selection of beautiful vibrant pastel paintings by Rob Meredith. Rob loves to incorporate lots of fine detail in his pastel paintings. He must have endless patience to achieve this with pastel!

The aim of the society is to encourage members’ artistic talents and promote art within the wider community. An extensive range of activities are available to members, including monthly artist demonstrations, workshops, classes and field trips.
