About Paula

Paula has always had an interest in art. From an early age she tried to emulate her Dad, who loved to draw, and encouraged her to try. She always wanted to realistically depict the things she saw.

Joining The Peninsula Arts Society in 2002, she discovered a world of colour with pastels that allowed for expression of her favourite subjects. Attending classes and workshops with many well recognized artists, her interests are now mainly in oils and acrylic but many other media are represented in her works.

Paula loves the Australian landscape and in particular the Australian coastline, enjoying the challenge of representing the sea in a realistic manner. Developing a style that reflects her interest in the impressionist artists, she continues to strive for a painterly interpretation of her chosen subjects.

Paula has works in private collections in South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria as well as in the UK, Canada and India.

Paula is a member of The Peninsula Arts Society, Pastel Society of Victoria (Australia), Studio 12 Group of Artists, Watercolour Society and Victoria and Sherbrook Arts Society.
