Maria Radun

Maria Radun is a full-time artist, working from her studio in Mornington. She currently teaches oil painting and drawing at Peninsula Arts Society and has brightened up our winter visits to the studios with this delightful display of her artwork.

Maria loves to paint still-life and scenes of the local natural environment, as well as figures and portraits.

Her painting technique is anchored in tonal realism, which gives her a strong technical foundation to explore various contemporary subjects and bring emotion into every piece.

After working as a graphic designer, Maria changed careers in her mid-thirties to become an artist, first getting a Fine Arts Bachelor Degree from Monash University, then pursuing a more classical approach to painting with the help of her mentors Fiona Bilborough and Bill Caldwell. Since 2018 she has shown in solo and group exhibitions, and has been a finalist in a number of art awards around Australia.
